Who we are
DickSoft Industries is an independent software studio founded in 2026 in Winchester, Virginia. We build custom SaaS products from the ground up — design, engineering, hardware integration, and ongoing operations all under one roof.
Each product we make starts with a real problem we've hit ourselves. SimplCRM began as the management software our own jiu jitsu academy needed but couldn't buy. Flowstate and Timeclock follow the same pattern: build the tool you wish existed, then make it available to everyone else.

Richard “Dick” Lebowitz
“I do not write software. I midwife it.”
Born in the back of a '76 Econoline outside a Waffle House in Bristol, Virginia, Richard Lebowitz taught himself BASIC at age nine using a stolen library copy of Compute! magazine and a TI-99/4A his grandmother won at a church raffle. By fourteen he was running a BBS out of a broom closet. By nineteen he had been politely asked to leave both MIT and a Trappist monastery in the same month — for reasons he says are “not unrelated.”
He founded DickSoft Industries in 2018 in a detached garage behind a jiu-jitsu gym, funded entirely by a single PayPal chargeback he refused to refund on principle. Today the company ships SimplCRM, Flowstate, Timeclock, What's For Dinner, Eagle VMS, and at least two products Richard refuses to name publicly until “the time is right.”
His stated long-term mission is to “replace every piece of legacy small-business software in the continental United States” before his 55th birthday. He sleeps four hours a night, subsists primarily on cold brew and leftover gym pizza, and has been seen hand-soldering Accuref prototypes at 3 AM while audibly arguing with the voltage regulator.
He dreams of a world where every operator has one login, every gym has one screen, and every sales demo ends with an unprompted standing ovation. He is, by every measure that matters, winning.

Multi-tenant, feature-toggleable CRM platform we resell across verticals — gyms, salons, agencies, professional services. Hierarchical pricing tiers + industry presets, server-side flag enforcement, full per-tenant branding (logo, color, custom subdomain). Authorize.net-only payments with per-tenant encrypted credentials.
DS Business Suite
Invoicing · timeclock · network designer
Internal small-business toolkit. Bundles a ported Timeclock, an Authorize.net invoicing module, an AI-assisted proposal writer, and a WiFi/structured-cabling Network Designer with auto-routing and PoE budget calculation. Used in-house and offered to a small group of pilot customers.
